셸링과 아도르노에 있어서 이성의 근거와 타자

본 논문에서는 아도르노의 ‘부정변증법’과 후기 셸링 철학에 있어서 이성적 사유의 한계와 그 근거가 무엇인지가 다루어진다. 그와 함께 만약 사유의 근거가 이성에게 타자로 비춰진다면 그 타자와의 화해 가능성은 어떻게 주어질 수 있는지 또한 고찰된다. 이러한 논의가 궁극적으로 의도하는 것은 현대의 지평에서 전개된 아도르노의 철학은 근본적으로 독일관념론의 틀에서 제기된 셸링철학의 문제의식과 다른 것이 아니며 오히려 셸링보다 더 관념론적 지평에 머물고 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 논의의 끝에서 다음과 같은 결론이 도출된다. 즉 아도르노에게 있어 사유의 자체 반성은 이성의 본래성에 대한 회복이며 이성의 해방이고 이러한 해방의 궁극적 목적은 타자(비개념적인 것)의 방면이다. 반면 셸링에게 단순한 반성은 오히려 사유의 병이다. 왜냐하면 사유는 결코 반성을 통해 자신을 한계를 교정할 수 없으며 오히려 자신을 포기할 때만이 자신의 근거에 자신을 열어놓을 수 있기 때문이다. 결국 셸링에게 사유의 자기포기는 사유 자체의 방면이 된다.
Abstract
This paper studies what are the limits and ground of reason in Adorno's Negative Dialectic and later Schelling's philosophy, and with that, inquires how is it possible for the reason to be reconciled with the other, if its ground appears to be other to the reason. The ultimate aim of this study is to show that the Adornos' philosophy developed in the contemporary discussion has no other issue than that of later schelling's philosophy and would go even further to remain in the idealistic base. The conclusions reached in this study are as follows. The self-reflection of the thinking in Adorno is the recovery and emancipation of authenticity of reason, in other words, the object of reflection is to release the irrational(the other) from the reason. The simple reflection of the thinking in schelling, on the other hand, would be a sickness of reason. Because thinking in reflection doesn't correct its own limits and arrives at the ground of itself. On the contrary, only by abjuring itself, the thinking becomes free from restriction.
