민간경비원의 직무환경에 따른 직무적합성과 조직유효성의 인과관계: 현장출동직 경비원을 중심으로

최근 민간경비는 디지털시대에 걸맞게 첨단장비를 내세운 기계경비시장이 급성장하고 있는 가운데, 기계경비업체의 전국 가입자 수는 약 80만 명으로 매우 거대한 시장성을 유지하고 있다. 그러나 2007년 현재 기계경비업에 종사하고 있는 업체 수는 총 138개, 경비원 수는 5,000명밖에 되지 않아 시장성에 비해서 서비스 종사자의 규모은 매우 적을 뿐만 아니라 직무환경이 다소 열악하기 때문에 조직의 과업 달성은 물론 고객들로부터 적지 않은 문제점들이 지적되고 있다. 그동안 현장출동 분야는 시민(고객)들에게 민간경비 분야에서 대표적인 이미지로 인식되어 왔으나 이 분야에 대해서 학술적으로 논의된 바가 거의 없는 실정이므로 본 연구에서는 일반경비원 가운데 현장출동직에 종사하고 있는 경비원 137명을 대상으로 직무환경에 따른 직무적합성과 조직유효성에 대한 인과관계를 규명하고자 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사를 통해 발견된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무환경 중에서 업무수행능력은 현재-직무적합성에 영향을 미치는 반면 직무환경은 이상적 - 직무적합성에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전반적으로 직무환경에 대한 배려가 높을수록 조직유효성에 대한 인식이 증가했다. 셋째, 현재 - 직무적합성이 높을수록 조직유효성(직무만족 및 조직몰입, 업무불만족)을 인식하는 정도가 크게 나타났다. 결론적으로 경비원의 업무수행관계는 현재-직무적합성을 통해 조직유효성에 대한 의식을 강화시키는 중요한 매개변수이며, 직무환경은 조직유효성과의 관계에서 매우 민감하게 작용한다는 것을 알 수 있다.
Abstract
Recently, as Alarm Security System that puts on high-tech devices is growing fast in Private Security business, the number of Alarm Security Systems members are 80thousands and keep enormous markets. However, the number of private enterprises are 138 (2007) and the number of Security Guards are only 5 thousands. Therefore many problems are causing from the customers and achievement of task because there is a very small scale for Service Workers as well as job surroundings are poor. The meantime, the fields of CS have been recognized as a representative image for Safety-the goal of the Private Security. But it’s almost not discussed academically, so we polled 137 security guards to examine the interactions between job fitness and organizational effectiveness followed by work environment. Followings are survey results. First, ability to carry-out task among the work environment has effect on present-job fitness but work environment doesn’t have effect on ideal-job fitness. Second, the more environmental concern is, the more recognition about organizational effectiveness increases. Third, the higher present-job fitness is, the more recognition about organizational effectiveness(job satisfaction and organizational devotion) is. If indications point, connection to carry-out task of guards is an important parameter to strengthen recognition about organizational effectiveness through the present-job fitness, and work environment tends to act on relationship with organizational effectiveness very sensitively.
