봉사-학습은 예비교사가 교육과정에서 습득한 이론과 기술을 실제 상황에서 적용하며 실천적 지식과 반성적 사고를 도모할 수 있는 교수학습방법이다. 본 연구는 예비 초등 교사의 교수역량 강화를 위해 봉사와 음악교과교육을 연계한 봉사-학습의 운영을 통해 예비교사 양성과정에서의 봉사-학습의 가능성을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 봉사-학습의 개념, 요소 및 과정, 효과를 고찰한 후, 음악교과교육과 연계한 봉사-학습 수업모형을 바탕으로 단계별 봉사-학습 활동과 효과적인 운영을 위한 전략을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 봉사-학습을 적용하여 수업을 운영하고자 하는 음악교육자들에게 중요한 기초자료로써 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 향후 음악교육 전공과 연계한 봉사-학습에 대한 효과성 검증의 연구가 활발히 이루어져야 할 것이고, 궁극적으로 음악교육 전공과 연계한 봉사-학습이 실천적 역량을 가진 음악교사를 양성하는데도움이 되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
Service-learning is a teaching and learning method that enables preservice teachers to apply the theories and skills acquired in the curriculum to real situations, and to promote practical knowledge and reflective thinking. The purpose of this study was to explore the operation and strategy of service-learning that links service and music education coursework in order to strengthen the teaching competence of preservice elementary teachers. The study suggested the possibility of service-learning in the process of training preservice teachers. For this purpose, first, the concepts, elements, process, and effects of service-learning were examined. Then based on the instructional model of service-learning in connection with music education, service-learning activities of each stage were presented. Finally, the strategies for effective operation of service-learning were proposed. This study can be used as an important basic data for music educators who want to apply service-learning to their teaching. Further research on the effectiveness of service-learning program in connection with music education should be actively conducted. Ultimately, it is hoped that service-learning linked with music education will help cultivate music teachers with practical teaching competence.
