정부에 대한 신뢰의 사회적 결정요인: 국민-정부간 소통의 조절효과 분석

초록

본 연구는 한국행정연구원에서 2016년 조사한 사회통합실태 조사 데이터를 활용하여, 타인에 대 한 신뢰, 정부-국민 소통, 사회단체 참여, 이타성, 그리고 사회 갈등에 대한 인지가 정부에 대한 신뢰 에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 또한 타인에 대한 신뢰, 사회단체 참여, 이타성, 그리고 사 회 갈등 인지가 정부에 대한 신뢰에 미치는 영향에 있어서 정부-국민 소통이 조절효과를 갖는지를 검 증하였다. 타인에 대한 신뢰와 이타성은 정부에 대한 신뢰에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 이와 반대로 사회 갈등 인지는 정부에 대한 신뢰에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 사회단체 참여는 정부에 대한 신뢰에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하였으며, 정부-국민 소통은 사회갈등 인지와 정부에 대한 신뢰 간의 관계 에 있어서 긍정적인 조절효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the determinants of trust in government, analyzing the large-scale data from the Korea Social Integration Survey that Korea Institute of Public Administration conducted in 2016. We examined the influence of trust in others (social trust), participation in civic groups, altruism, and perceived social conflict on trust in government and the moderating effect of citizen-government communication on that influence. While social trust and altruism have a positive influence on trust in government, perception of social conflict decreases the level of trust in government. Participation in civic groups does not have significant influence on trust in government. The study finds the moderating effect of citizen-government communication on the relationship between perceived social conflict and trust in government.
