자기회귀교차지연 모형을 적용한 아동-교사 관계와 아동의 행동적 집행기능 곤란 간 종단적 관계 검증: 아동 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 아동-교사 관계와 행동적 집행기능 곤란의 종단적 관계를 검증하고 이러한 관계가 아동 성별에 따라 다른지를 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 한국아동패널의 2학년(2016년), 4학년(2018년), 6학년(2020년) 총 1,174명의 자료를 자기회귀교차지연 모형으로 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 학령기 아동-교사 관계와 행동적 집행기능 곤란은 시간이 경과하여도 안정적으로 유지되는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 행동적 집행기능 곤란은 이후의 아동-교사 친밀과 갈등에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 또한 아동-교사 친밀과 갈등은 이후의 행동적 집행기능 곤란에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 이러한 교차 지연 효과는 남아의 경우에만 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여 교사-아동 관계 개선을 통해 아동기 행동적 집행기능 곤란을 낮추는 데 도움이 되는 교육적 개입을 논하였다.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the longitudinal relationship between the child-teacher relationship and children’s behavioral executive function(EF) difficulties, and to analyze whether this relationship differed according to the child’s gender. For this, this study used autoregressive cross-lagged modeling in analyzing the data of 1,182 children, 2nd(2016), 3rd(2017), 4th(2018) and 6th(2020) graders, provided by the Panel Study on Korean Children. The results were as follows. First, it was found that the child-teacher relationship and behavioral EF during the elementary school years maintained constant stability over time. Second, children’s behavioral EF difficulties had significant effects on subsequent child-teacher closeness and conflict, and child-teacher closeness and conflict also had significant effects on subsequent behavioral EF difficulties. Third, these cross-lagged effects were significant only with male children. Based on these results, this study discussed educational interventions that help to lower children’s behavioral EF difficulties through the improvement of the child-teacher relationship.
