전문용어의 개념 유형에 따른 사전 부가 정의문의 정보 유형 탐색

이 연구는 사전의 전문용어 정의에서 사용되는 정의하기의 일정한 전략적 경향성을 확인하기 위한 목적으로 계획되었다. 특히 이 연구는 정의 전략 경향성 확인의 기준점을 전문용어가 갖는 개념 유형으로 삼고, Ⅲ장에서 코어넷의 한국어 개념 체계를 적용하여 물리 분야의 개별적인 전문용어의 유개념을 유형화하였다. 더불어 Ⅳ장에서는 해당 용어에 대한 표준국어대사전의 정의문 말뭉치를 분석하여 부가 정의문의 정보 유형을 확인하고, 전문용어의 개념 유형에 따라 부가정의문의 정보 유형이 일정한 패턴을 형성하는지를 부분적으로 확인하였다. 특히‘기계’와 ‘수량’의 개념 유형을 갖는 전문용어의 부가 정의문이 포함하는 정보 유형에 대한 사례 연구를 통해, 전문용어의 개념 유형과 부가 정의문의 정보 유형간에 연결할 수 있는 일정한 관계를 부분적으로 확인하였다. ‘기계’ 유형의 경우, 다른 전문용어 개념 유형에 비해, 부가 정의문의 ‘기능/작용’ 정보와 ‘구성/형상’ 의 정보 유형이 두드러지는 관계를 가지며, ‘수량’ 유형의 경우 부가 정의문의‘예시/하위어’ 정보와 ‘표지’ 정보 유형이 두드러짐을 알 수 있다. 이 연구가 모든분야의 전문용어를 대상으로 하지 않았으며, 전문용어에 대한 모든 정의문을 분석한 것이 아닌 특정 사전의 부가 정의문이 내포하고 있는 정보의 유형을 분석 대상으로 하였다는 점에서 한계가 있다. 그러나 사전의 의미 항목 기술에 있어 일정한경향성이 존재하는 가능성을 확인하였다는 점, 사전 의미 기술에 있어 일정한 패턴을 제시하는 것이 사전의 체계성과 일관성을 확보하는 데 중요하다는 점에서전문용어 의미 기술에 일정한 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
This study was designed to identify certain methodological tendencies of defining used in terminology definitions. In particular, this study categorized the conceptual concept of individual terminology in the physical field by using Corenet's Korean conceptual system as the reference point for confirming defining strategic tendencies as the conceptual type of the terminology. In addition, in Chapter IV, the terminology type of the additional definition sentence was confirmed by analyzing the corpus of the terminology Standard Korean Dictionary terminology for the relevant term, and it was partially confirmed whether the information type of the additional definition sentence forms a certain pattern according to the type of the specialized terminology concept. In particular, through a case study on the information type included in the definition sentence, the specialized terminology department with the concept type of ‘machine’ and ‘quantity’ partially confirmed a certain relationship that can be connected between the specialized terminology concept type and the information type of the additional definition sentence. Compared to other professional terminology concept types, the information type of ‘function/action’ and ‘configuration/shape’ of the additional definition sentence has a remarkable relationship, and in the case of the type of ‘quantity’, it can be seen that the information type of ‘example/subword’ and ‘mark’ of the additional definition sentence is remarkable. This study did not target terminology in all fields, and there is a limitation in that it did not analyze all definitions of terminology, but rather analyzed the types of information contained in additional definitions of a specific dictionary. However, it is expected that it will be able to make a certain contribution to the description of terminology meaning in that it has confirmed the possibility of a certain tendency in the description of the meaning item of the dictionary and that presenting a certain pattern in the description of the meaning of the dictionary is important to ensure the systemicity and consistency of the dictionary.
