Abstract

In this article, I examined the structural aspects of the definition sentence as an object of consideration in the results of the construction and maintenance of academic terms that have been conducted in various places, and discussed in what direction it is necessary to supplement the problems of this structural aspect. As a result of the review, the method of presenting definition questions in the results of academic term maintenance was classified into 10 types as follows. First, there are types of synonyms and synonyms. Second, there is a type of sequential presentation of synonyms and additional information. Third, there are term definitions and sequential presentation types of additional information. Fourth, there is a type of sequential presentation of additional information and term definition. Fifth, there is a type of presentation of a definition sentence in the form of a combination of additional information. Sixth, there is a type of presentation of a definition sentence (repeation of the title word) that includes the title word. Eleventh, there is a type of definition through example. Eighth, there is a type of definition using antonyms. Ninth, there is a type in which concept description, conceptual words, examples, etc. are written in parentheses. Tenth, there is a type that has not presented the concept of Confucianism. The definition method can be categorized in this type. The method of presenting the definition sentence contains various matters that need to be supplemented in terms of formality. Therefore, it is necessary to be appropriately supplemented and maintained based on the form of Korean dictionaries and textbook jargon definition sentences.
