편향 극복과 성찰을 위한 뉴미디어 리터러시 교육프로그램을 활용한 초등 통일인성교육 방안

초록

북한이탈주민에 대한 차별은 통일 동력 형성에 방해 요소로 작용한다. 진정한 통일을 위해 요구되는 핵심 요소는 사람의 통합이기에 학교 현장에서 학생들이 가정, 사회, 미디어 환경에서 형성한 북한이탈주민에 대한 편향을 극복하게 할 필요가 있다. 특히 최근 뉴미디어 환경에서 편향 극복 방안 가운데 하나는 뉴미디어 문해력을 길러주는 것이다. 뉴미디어 리터러시는 사실을 있는 그대로 인지하고 타인을 존중하게 한다는 점에서 올바른 인성교육과도 밀접하다. 미디어 탐정 프로그램(Media Detective Program, MD Program), 씨네 리터러시(Cine Literacy)를 변용하여 초등학교 통일교육에 뉴미디어 리터러시 교육을 적용할 수 있다. 북한이탈주민에 대한 편향 극복을 위한 뉴미디어 리터러시 초등 통일인성교육은 콘텐츠에 대한 접근, 분석, 평가, 생성을 기본으로 미디어 사용 능력 및 해석, 비판적 사고력과 성찰을 증진하여 북한이탈주민에 대한 편향을 줄이는데 일조할 수 있다.

Abstract

The discriminative eyes on North Korean refugees play a factor to discourage the driving force formation of the unification of the Korean Peninsula. It is needed to help students at school overcome the bias toward N. K. refugees, which has been formed under home, social, and media environments because uniting people is the most significant element for the true sense of the unification. Especially, it would be suggested to improve students' literacy about new media to which they are exposed easily. New media literacy is closely related to forming an upright personality in that it leads to recognize facts as they are and to have respect for other people. This can be applied in the modified form of Media Detective Program (MD Program) and Cine Literacy model in elementary school. This, based on approach, analysis, evaluation, and creating of content, will also help to decrease a biased view toward North Korean refugees in unification education of elementary school with fostering media literacy, its interpretation, critical thinking, and reflection, which is based on.
