헤겔 철학 체계에서 우연성과 주체구성의 관계 - 지젝의 헤겔 철학 독해를 중심으로 -

Abstract

This thesis aims at illuminating the contemporary meaning of the Hegel Philosophy through the theme, that is, contingency and subject-formation. For that, I examine Žižek's work, and according to him Hegel is a prominent philosopher who has accented difference and contingence. Žižek has developed the reading of contingency in the Hegel philosophy in the light of the doubled reflection, which is meant by Henrich's interpretation of Hegel's reflection logic. According to him, contingency in the dialectic is always precedent to necessity, and the latter could be posited only afterward. That is an empty gesture and pure formal inversion; Necessity, forming intersubjective(or symbolic) network, could be thought only through contingency as a lack or void. Such a contingent position is the same to the position forming subject. Besides, substance in the Hegel philosophy is also comprehended as subject; Henrich understands substance ―sustaining itself as identity― as autonomous negativity, that is, subject. Further, on the basis of “the logic of the signifier”, Žižek asserts subject be formed in the impossible position, where substance always fails to integrate itself. This thesis converges on the question whether his assertion could be accepted by Hegel researchers. On the unique interpretation of the Hegelian subject, Žižek's work has the tendency, against which contemporary researchers reconstruct Hegel philosophy on the light of the inter-subjectivity. Surely, against the tendency, which post-structuralism philosophers have ―criticizing Hegel on the over-simplified interpretation―, Žižek's work plays the important role in the correcting it. But such a his direction intensifies “the theoreticism”, which blurs the practical implication by connection with an another abstruse thinker, Lacan.
