본 연구에서는 공간지능의 인식과 발현을 위한 지리교육의 역할 그리고 지리교육에서 공간지능의 활용 방안을 중심으로, 공간지능의 발현기회 제공을 통한 지리교육의 교육적 정당성 확보와 효율적인 지리교육을 위한 활용 측면에서 살펴봤다.첫째, 지리교육에서는 인간이 생래적으로 가지고 태어난 다중지능 중 공간지능을 인식시키고 발현 기회를 제공할 수 있는 교과목으로서 위치를 확립함으로서, 지리교육의 교육적 정당성을 확보할 수 있다. 일반적으로 인식되고 있는 공간지능의 시지각적 특성도 중요하지만, 공간지능의 본질적인 인지과정은 획득된 정보의 재구성과 재창조 과정이다. 특히 지리교육에서의 교육내용과 학습과정은 이러한 공간지능의 인지과정과 유사성을 가지고 있기 때문에, 공간지능의 발현에 있어서 지리교육의 역할이 중요하다.둘째, 지리교육의 목표를 효율적으로 달성할 수 있는 수단으로서 공간지능의 역할이다. 지리교육에서 공간지능을 인식하고 활용 방법의 적극적인 모색은 보다 효율적인 지리교육을 가능하게 한다. 공간지능은 지리교육의 교육과정 구성방법, 교과서 구성방법에서 특히 자료의 제시방법, 실제 이루어지는 교수-학습 방법의 개선, 평가 방법의 개선, 학습자의 이해 및 성인 생활의 고려 등에서 새로운 시사점을 준다.
Abstract
This study is look into the meaning in offer the revelation opportunity of spatial intelligence through geography education. Focus on establishment of educational justice and utilization for geography education efficiently.Firstly, we need to establish the location as a subject to offer revelation opportunity of spatial intelligence through geography education. A re-construction and re-creation of the acquired information is essential characteristics of spatial intelligence. The geography education have the structure agree with spatial intelligence in the educational content and learning method. The geography education is able to important role in the revelation of the spatial intelligence.Secondary, the spatial intelligence is able to important role for the achieve the goal of geography education efficiently. The spatial intelligence gives new idea for geography education which is an educational goal setting up, content selection and organization, presentation method in a textbook, teaching and learning process, assessment, understanding learner and consider to the adult life of learner.
