ZHONGUO GUOJIA HANBAN(中國國家漢辦) announced that they developed a new version of HSK according to a current flow of Chinese education focusing on recent research accomplishments so as to meet the new trend that the area of using Chinese is dramatically expanded and to satisfy continuously increasing requirements of learners abroad. Nowadays, the application of HSK grade classification is getting higher day by day in that it plays an important role in the admission of public institutions, schools and companies in Korea as well as in the admission and graduation for Chinese universities. In this paper, we discuss the troubles in the old version of HSK which have been repeatedly debated on, and because of its importance, further analyze characteristics of the new version of HSK and finally figure out whether it will establish the efficiency and scientific confidence. Particularly, our intention of the comparative analysis on sections of the new 5th grade test is to have Chinese learners familiar with the new one and to help them who have patiently prepared the HSK test based on the old one.
