연구 목적: 이 연구는 ‘-었-’과 ‘-던’의 결합 분석으로 ‘-었던’ 통합체는 ‘완료된 후의 지속 상태의 중단’, ‘반복성 지속의 완료’, ‘완료’, ‘진행성 지속의 완료’의 의미를 밝히고자 한다. 연구 방법: 연구방법은 ‘-었던’의 분석을 위해서 시제와 상에 대한 이재성(2001)의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 ‘-었-’과 ‘-던’이 모두 시제와 상의 속성을 갖는 것으로 보고 그 것에 ‘-었던’의 의미를 밝히고자 한다. 연구 내용: 이 논문의 연구내용은 1장에서 연구의 목적을, 2장에서 선행 연구를 살펴보았다. 3장에서 ‘-었-’과 ‘-던’의 의미 결합 양상을 마련하였고, 4장에서 논의 내용을 요약한다. 결론 및 제언: ‘-었던’은 완성동사와 결합하여 ‘완료된 후의 지속 상태의 중단’과 ‘반복성 지속의 완료’를, 순간동사의 경우는 ‘완료’만을, 행위동사의 경우는 ‘진행성 지속의 완료(중지)’를 나타내는 것이다. 이후에는 동사뿐만 아니라 형용사와의 결합에 대한 분석대상을 넓히고자 한다.
Abstract
This paper not only aims to analyzes the meanings of ‘-eossdeon’ but also examine the semantic functions of ‘-eoss-’ and ‘-deon’ in ‘-eossdeon’. The meanings of ‘-eossdeon’ are presented ‘interruption of completed status’, ‘perfect of repetition continuance’, ‘perfect’, ‘perfect of continuous process’. When ‘-eossdeon-’ is combined with a telic verb, the meaning of ‘interruption of completed status’ in ‘-eossdeon’ is presented by the ‘completed status’ of ‘-eoss’ and the ‘interruption’ of ‘-deon’. the meaning of ‘perfect of repetition continuance’ in ‘-eossdeon’ is presented by the ‘perfect of repetition’ of ‘-eoss’ and the ‘continuance’ of ‘-deon’. When ‘-eossdeon’ is combined with momentary verbs, its meaning is only presented the ‘perfect’. The meaning of ‘-deon’ is not presented. When ‘-eossdeon’ is combined with an atelic verb, the meaning of ‘perfect of continuous process’ in ‘-eossdeon’ is presented by the ‘perfect’ of ‘-eoss’ and the ‘continuous process’ of ‘-deon’. So it can be seen that the meaning of ‘-eossdeon’ not only have the meaning of ‘-eoss’ but also have the meaning of ‘-deon’.
