연구 목적: 이 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 부모학대와 학업중단 후 비행의 관계에서 미래지향적 사고의 중재효과를 검증하였다. 연구 방법: 한국청소년정책연구원에 의해 구축된 학업중단 청소년 패널 조사의 원자료로부터 선별한 733명을 대상으로 일련의 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구 내용: 첫째, 학교 밖 청소년의 부모학대는 학업중단 후 비행에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향적 사고는 부모학대가 비행에 미치는 영향을 조절하였다. 구체적으로 미래지향적 사고의 수준의 높을수록 부모학대가 비행에 미치는 정적 영향의 정도가 감소하였다. 결론 및 제언: 주요 결과를 토대로 하여 학교 밖 청소년의 비행 문제를 완화 및 예방하기 위한 개입의 방안들을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of the current study is to verify the moderating effect of future- oriented thinking on the association between parental maltreatment and delinquency among out-of-school adolescents. Using a sample of 733 adolescents from the Panel Survey of School Dropouts constructed by the National Youth Policy Institute, the current study conducts a series of regression analyses. The findings of the current study are as follows. First, out-of-school adolescents’ parental maltreatment positively and significantly influences delinquency after dropping out of school. Second, out-of-school adolescents’ future-oriented thinking moderates the association between parental maltreatment and delinquency. Specifically, when the level of future-oriented thinking becomes higher, the positive influence of parental maltreatment on delinquency becomes weaker. Based on the results, this study suggests intervention ways to reduce and prevent delinquency among out-of-school adolescents.
