학업중단 청소년이 인식한 부모방임이 비행에 미치는 영향: 우울과 사회적 낙인감의 순차적 매개효과를 중심으로

초록

이 연구는 부모의 방임과 비행의 관계를 확인함에 있어서 선행연구를 바탕으로 방임이라는 부정적 경험이 야기하는 우울이라는 심리적 기재와 이에 기인한 사회적 낙인감이 최종적으로 비행에 미치는 경로관계를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 목적 달성을 위하여 한국청소년정책연구원의학업중단 청소년 패널조사 5차 연도 중 2차 연도 584명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 순차적 매개효과를 확인하기 위하여 Process macro for SPSS(v4.2)의 model6를 사용하였다. 분석결과 부모의 방임은 우울과 사회적 낙인감을 순차적으로 매개하여 이들의 비행에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 다만 각각의 매개효과에서 사회적 낙인감은 유의미하였으나 우울은 유의미하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 학업중단 시기부터 청소년에 적절한 보호와 지도·감독을 제공하기 위한 지역사회 프로그램 마련, 교육부의 학업중단 청소년 관리 방안 마련을 제언한다. 이 연구는 학업중단 청소년을 대상으로 한다는 점, 청소년기 빈번하게 겪는 우울이라는 정서와 학교를 그만둠으로써 학업중단 청소년들이 겪을 수 있는 특수한 정서로서의 사회적 낙인감을 주요변수로 한다는 점, 일정한 경험이 비행으로 이어지는 심리적 기재의 경로를 분석하고자 하였다는 점에 그 의의가 있다.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the path relationship between parental neglect and delinquency based on previous studies, through the psychological description of depression caused by the negative experience of neglect and the resulting social labeling that ultimately affects delinquency. To achieve the purpose of the study, an analysis was conducted on 584 students from the second year of the fifth year of the Korea Youth Policy Institute's panel survey of school dropouts. To confirm the sequential mediation effect, model 6 of the Process macro for SPSS (v4.2) was used. The analysis results showed that parental neglect had a significant effect on their delinquency by sequentially mediating depression and social labeling. However, in each mediation effect, social labeling was significant, but depression was not significant. Based on the analysis results, it is suggested that a community program be established to provide appropriate protection, guidance, and supervision to youth from the time of dropping out of school, and that the Ministry of Education establish a management plan for school dropouts. This study is significant in that it targets adolescents who drop out of school, the main variables are depression, a frequent emotion experienced during adolescence, and social labeling, a special emotion that adolescents who drop out of school may experience, and it analyzes the path of psychological descriptions of how certain experiences lead to delinquency.
