대학교육에서의 하이플렉스 수업에 대한 교수자 인식과 개선 방안

본 연구는 대학교육의 맥락에서 하이플렉스 수업에 대한 교수자의 인식을 탐구하고 이에 대한 개선점을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 A대학의 교원 82명을 대상으로 객관식, 주관식 문항이 포함되어있는 설문 조사를 실시하고 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 하이플렉스 수업에 대한 긍정적인 인식에 영향을 끼친 요소는 학습자의 선택권 존중, 비대면 수업을 운영하기 어려운 실습 과목 등에 적용 가능, 기존 오프라인 수업의 한계 극복 등이었다. 반면, 부정적인 인식에 영향을 끼친 요소는 부적합한 교육환경, 교수자의 부담 증대, 비대면 학습자에 대한 부정적인 인식, 비대면 학습자에 대한 상호작용의 어려움이다. 본 연구는 대학 교육에 적합한 하이플렉스 수업을 운영하기 위해, 교수자의 긍정적, 부정적 인식을 분석했다는 것에 의의가 있으며, 추후 학습자, 수업 운영 조교 혹은 교직원들의 인식 조사 연구가 진행될 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the perception of instructors in university regarding Hyflex classes and to explore improvements of the Hyflex classes. To this end, a total of 82 instructors participated in the online survey to explored the perception of instructors regarding the use of the Hyflex. According to the results, factors that influenced the positive perception of Hyflex classes were respect for learners’ choice, applicable to practical subjects that are difficult to operate non-face-to-face classes, and overcoming limitations of existing offline classes, showing similar results patterns between learners and instructors. On the other hand, an unsuitable educational environment, increased burden on class preparation, negative perceptions of non-face-to-face learners, and difficulties in interacting with non-face-to-face learners affected negative perceptions of Hyflex courses. This study has conducted a meaningful that analyzed the positive and negative perceptions of instructors for the application of Hyflex classes optimized for higher education and future study needs to explore on perception of students, TA and staff.
