Abstract
Analysis of sex difference about adolescent victimization is meaningful because it improves the effectiveness of the prevention politics by knowing the exact cause of crime victimization. The purpose of this study is to examine how crime victimization theories account for gender differences in causes of adolescent victimization. This study uses the Korea Youth Panel Study as analysis data This study attempts to conduct logistic regression analyses on male and female samples in order to compare and examine influences of respective variables of the following two victimization theories; Routine Activity Theory and Self-Control Theory. The result indicates that the theory that holds greatest relevance to the victimization by both sexes is the routine activity theory. However, there are noticeable gender differences. The most notable difference is that parent supervision, adolescents activities significantly
