Abstract

An investigative interview is a social interaction between an interviewee and an interviewee aimed at maximizing a complete and accurate statement of past experiences or witnessed events. Recently, as the number of interviewees with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has increased, it is necessary to understand the effects of the characteristics of ASD on the possibility of statement and accuracy. As of now, scientific interview techniques to assist ASD's statements are far from academic. This means that ASD is investigated without considering their characteristics and the risk of misinterpretation of their statements is rich. Therefore, this study considered the investigative interview technique in an effort to enhance the concreteness and accuracy of the ASD statement. In particular, by introducing techniques focusing on the event segmentation theory, suggestions were made for investigative interview with ASD.
