인천항과 북중국 항만간의 물동량 구조변화분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 인천항과 실질적인 교역을 진행하고 있는 북중국항만간의 데이터 분석을 근거로 한 분석결과를 제시하였다. 첫째, 시장 과점화 정도를 파악하기 위해 항만집중도를 분석한 결과 이 권역에서의 과점화 현상은 점차적으로 감소되고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 권역내에서 개별항만의 경쟁적 포지셔닝을 살펴보기 위해 BCG(Boston Consulting Group) 매트릭스를 이용하여 항만구조분석을 실시한 결과 인천항의 연평균 물동량 증가율은 2009년 이후 점차적으로 회복되어 가고 있으나, 전체 항만중 시장점유율은 오히려 약 4.8%로 감소되고 있어 경쟁항만의 증가율에는 미치지 못하는 것으로 파악되었다. 셋째, 항만간 교역을 통해 상호간에 이전된 물동량을 파악하기 위해 변이할당 분석(Shift-Share Analysis)을 수행한 결과, 인천항은 2009년~2011년 기간 동안 이 권역에서 연평균 유치할 수 있는 절대성장률 물동량은 약 20만 TEU로 나타났다. 이는 상대적 비교에서 인천항 물동량 절대 성장률이 대련의 26%, 청도의 12%, 영구의 15%, 천진의 13%, 그리고 연운의 23% 정도의 수준임을 의미한다.
Abstract
Incheon has created container cargoes through close trade with container ports inNorth China by the benefit of geographical location. In this respect, this studyproposed three analysis results based on a practical trade data among Incheon andports in North China. Firstly, concentration ratio of this region has decreasedgradually since 2003, meaning a relatively high average growth rate of Lianyungangport and Yingkou port. Also, market share of Incheon in this region has diminishedwith 4.8% while an annually average growth rate of Incheon has been restored since2009 as a result of BCG matrix analysis to comprehend a competitive structure ofports. Lastly, an absolute growth rate of Incheon between 2009-2011 was evaluatedvery low relatively compared to Quing tao port, Tianjin port and Yingkou port inthis region, It meaned that an absolute growth rate of Incheon accounted for 26%for that of Dalian, 12% of Qingdao, 15% of Yingkou, 13% of Tianjin and 23% ofLianyungang.
