한국어교육실습을 경험한 학부생의 한국어교사 이미지에 대한 주관성 연구

이 연구는 한국에서 한국어교육실습을 경험한 학생들이 가지는 한국어교사에 대한 이미지를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 Q방법론을 활용하여 한국어교사와 관련된 34개의 진술문을 도출하였고, 한국어교육실습을 경험한 학부생 30명을 P표본으로 선정하여 Q분류를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 Ken-Q Analysis 소프트웨어를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 한국인 학부생이 느끼는 한국어교사의 이미지는 총 3개로 분류되었다. 유형 1은 ‘어학적, 교육적 지식이 있고 충분한 대우는 부족하다’였고, 유형 2는 ‘학생 생활지도를 해주며 직장에 대한 소속감이 크다’였다. 유형 3은 ‘현대문화를 잘 알고 미래가 밝다’라고 명명하였다. 이 연구는 한국어교육실습을 경험한 학생들이 한국어교사에 대해 어떠한 이미지를 가지고 있는지, 각각의 특징은 무엇인지를 확인하고자 시도하였다는 데에 의의가 있다. 한국어교사의 이미지를 유형화한 본 연구의 결과가 한국어교사의 긍정적인 이미지 형성과 전문성 증진을 위한 교육 자료 개발에 기여할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the Korean language education students’ subjective image of Korean language teachers after the completion of their practicum. The present study was conducted with 34 statements on 30 participants using Q methodology. The data collected were analyzed with Ken-Q Analysis. The results show that students can be divided into three groups depending on their subjective image of Korean language teachers. The first type sees Korean teachers as having “sufficient linguistic and educational knowledge but scarce compensation”, the second type as “being able to supervise students and with a feeling of belonging to their institution”, and The third and last type sees teachers with “knowledge of contemporary Korean culture and a bright future”. The contribution of this study lies in investigating the image that students who have completed their practicum have of Korean teachers. The results can be used to build a positive Korean language teacher image and develop educational material.
