남북의 언어 차이와 동질성 회복 방안

Abstract

This study has been done to consider the linguistic heterogeneities between South and North Korean and to find a way of recovery identities. Some parts of the heterogeneousness of the vocabulary have been the differences of the dialect beforethe division of Korea into North and South. Many people regard these different vocabularies as a big problem since these vocabularies have been used as the official languagein each country. However it is not a big problem as much as they think if we view it from a different standpoint. Ifthe language does not significantly change the sentence structure and the sound system but it changes just some vocabularies, it could not mean that the language is changed. Even if it is not a considerable change between South and North Korean, it is demanded to consider the measure because the nation feel the difference between the two. Under this premise, this study proposed several alternative plans as the necessity of a pan-Korean institute for the unification of South and North Korean, the necessity of a pan-Korean campaign of the refinement of Korean, the enforcement of Korean language education as a mother tongue, necessity of the integrated dictionary of South-North joint etc. It is too late if we do this project when the problem arisesafter the unification of Korea. It is the problem awaiting solution from now.
