Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify research trends in group art therapy programs over the past 20 years using keyword network analysis. A total of 1,141 keywords were extracted from 570 studies on groups art therapy programs published in Korea Citation Index (KCI) journals between 2005 and 2024. For data collection and analysis, centrality and CONCOR analyses were conducted using Textom and UCINET 6, and the keyword network was visualized using NetDraw. The results of the study are as follows: First, the most prominent research themes included "group art therapy program", "elementary school students", "adolescents", "self-esteem", and "depression". Second, the keywords with the highest centrality mirrored those with the highest frequency, indicating their core positioning within the research network.. Third, the temporal network analysis showed that research themes evolved across different periods, shifting toward concepts such as "resilience," "dementia," "happiness", "women", and "collage", reflecting societal demands and changes. Fourth, analysis of network changes by target group confirmed that art therapy is an effective approach for addressing psychological issues across various age groups. Based on these findings, this study presents implications for future research on group art therapy programs.
