본 연구는 고등학생의 사회적 지지와 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 학업적 그릿의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 고등학교 시기는 진로 탐색 및 미래 설계를 위한 중요한 발달 단계이며, 청소년은 진로 선택의 어려움과 학업 부담 등 복합적 스트레스를 경험한다. 따라서 진로 발달을 사회적 환경과 학업적 특성이 상호작용하는 다차원적 관점에서 이해할 필요성이 제기된다. 이를 검증하기 위해 경남 지역 고등학교 1, 2학년 학생 총 419명의 자료를 분석하였으며, SPSS와 Amos를 이용하여 구조모형 적합도를 분석하고, 매개효과 검증을 위해 붓스트래핑 기법을 적용하였다. 연구 결과, 구조모형은 양호한 적합도를 보였으며, 첫째, 부모의 사회적 지지는 학업적 그릿과 진로태도성숙에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 학업적 그릿은 진로태도성숙에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회적 지지와 진로태도성숙의 관계에서 학업적 그릿의 유의미한 부분 매개효과가 확인되었다. 이는 사회적 지지가 학생의 내적 역량인 학업적 그릿을 강화함으로써 진로 발달을 더욱 적극적으로 촉진할 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 학교 현장에서는 진로 성숙을 돕기 위해 단순히 정보 제공에만 그칠 것이 아니라, 학생의 학업적 그릿을 높이는 개입 전략이 필수적임을 제언하고자 한다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the mediating effect of Academic Grit on the relationship between Social Support and Career Attitude Maturity among high school students. The high school years are a critical developmental stage for career exploration and future planning, during which adolescents experience various stressors, including academic pressure and difficulties in making career decisions. Accordingly, career development needs to be understood from a multidimensional perspective that considers the interaction between students’ social environments and academic characteristics. Data were collected from 419 first- and second-year high school students in the Gyeongnam region. Structural model fit was evaluated using SPSS and AMOS, and the mediating effect was tested using the bootstrapping technique. The structural model demonstrated an acceptable level of fit. The findings showed First, Social Support had a significant positive effect on Academic Grit and Career Attitude Maturity. Second, Academic Grit had a significant positive effect on Career Attitude Maturity. Third, a significant partial mediating effect of Academic Grit was identified in the relationship between Social Support and Career Attitude Maturity. These results suggest that Social Support enhances students’internal strengths, particularly Academic Grit, thereby promoting more active and mature career development. Accordingly educational practice should not be limited to providing career information alone but should incorporate strategies aimed at strengthening students’academic grit to effectively foster career attitude maturity.
