시각적 이미지를 활용한 의미구성 연구－디지털 기반 글쓰기 과정을 중심으로－

학업적 목적의 글쓰기나 직장에서의 글쓰기와 같은 생산적인 글쓰기는 쓰기 단독 수행만으로 이루어지기보다는 정보 텍스트 읽기를 수반한다. 정보 텍스트는문자기호인 글로만 이루어진 경우도 있지만, 디지털 기반에서 사진, 그림, 그래프, 도표, 동영상 등의 복합양식을 포함하는 비중이 더욱 증가하는 추세이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학생 필자들이 정보적 텍스트를 읽고 쓰는 과정에서 의미구성에 시각적 이미지를 어떻게 활용하는지를 확인하고자 학생 필자의 쓰기 과정을관찰하고 학생 필자의 목소리를 들어 보았다. 연구 결과, 학생 필자들은 시각적이미지를 정보의 질 평가, 쓰기 주제 관련 내용 학습에 활용하고, 자신의 글에쓸 내용을 생성하기, 조직하기, 표현하기 등에도 활용하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 국어과 교육과정에 시각적 이미지를 활용한 의미구성과 관련한 교수⋅학습내용과 방법이 포함되어야 함을 시사하였다.
Abstract
Productive writing, such as writing for academic purposes or writing at work, involves information text reading rather than writing alone. Although information texts are sometimes composed of letters only, they are increasingly inclusive of digital forms such as photographs, pictures, graphs, charts, and videos. In this study, students authors’ voices were watched in order to see how students used visual images in the process of reading and writing informative texts. As a result of the research, the authors used the visual image to evaluate the quality of information, to learn the contents related to the writing topic, and to create, organize, and express the contents to write in their own articles. Based on the results of the study, it suggested that the contents of teaching and learning should be included in the Korean Language Education Curriculum related to the composition using visual images.
