국어사전의 용례 선정 기준과 말뭉치 구성 방안

이 연구의 목적은 국가 편찬 국어사전인 <표준국어대사전>과 <우리말샘>을 중심으로 국내외 사전의 용례 기술 현황을 분석하고, 용례 선정 및 용례 추출을 위한 말뭉치 구성 방법론을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국어사전의 용례 선정 기준인 ‘전형성, 실제성, 정보성, 다양성, 시대성, 윤리성, 정치적 중립성, 문화성’ 등에 대해 살펴보고, 이러한 기준을 충족하는 국어사전의 용례 선정을 위한 말뭉치 구성 방안을 논의하였다. 2장에서는 국어사전의 용례 기술 현황을 사전의 표제어가 아닌 ‘의의 단위’에서 양적‧질적으로 분석하고, 국내외 주요 사전의 인용 문헌의 매체·장르와 규모 등을 사전학적인 관점에서 분석하였다. 3장에서는 이를 바탕으로 하여 국어사전의 용례 선정의 기준을 논의하고, 용례 선정을 위한 말뭉치 구성 방안을 제시하였다. 그리고 용례 기술의 방향성을 미래 지향적이며 사전학적인 관점에서 논의하였다. 국어사전 용례 구축을 위한 말뭉치 구성 방안을 제시하는 과정에서 인용 문헌 구성에 관련된 쟁점, 즉 인용 문헌 선정의 합리성과 양적 적절성에 대한 기준을 도출하고자 하였다. 다만 본 연구에서 제시한 말뭉치 구축 방향은 향후 실현되어야 할 이상적인 안이며, 이 제안에 따라 말뭉치를 구축하고 사전을 편찬할 때 도출될 수 있는 문제는 사전 집필 과정에서 구체적으로 논의되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the current state of example descriptions in domestic and foreign dictionaries, Pyojun-Gugeo-Daesajeon and Urimalsaem, and suggest a corpus construction methodology for example selection and extraction. Thus, the following eight criteria are applied to example selection in Korean dictionaries: typicality, informality, practicality, diversity, contemporary, ethicality, political neutrality, and culturality. A corpus construction method that satisfies these criteria, such as the selection of Korean dictionaries, is discussed. Chapter 2, quantitatively and qualitatively analyzes the current status of example descriptions in Korean dictionaries at the sense level. Further, it analyzes the media, genre, and scale of cited literature in major Korean and foreign dictionaries from a lexicographic perspective. Chapter 3 discusses the criteria and suggests a corpus construction method for example selection in Korean dictionaries. Additionally, the direction of the description of examples is discussed from a future-oriented and lexicographic perspective. In suggesting a corpus composition plan for building case studies, we aimed to establish criteria for the rationality and quantitative suitability of document selection, address challenges in composing the literature, and propose potential alternatives for copyright issues based on text type. However, the direction of corpus construction suggested in this study is a task that must be realized in the future, and the problems that can be encountered when constructing the corpus and compiling the dictionary according to this proposal can be revealed specifically during the dictionary-writing process.
