본고는 기존에 생성문법적 관점에서 주로 논의되어 온 공백화 구문을 구문문법의 시각에서 재조명하고자 한다. 이를 통해 공백화 구문 및 관련 구문들에 대한 이론적 이해를 확장하는 것을 목표로 한다. 구체적으로, 구문 상속 이론의 관점에서 ‘비非생략 구문과 공백화 구문’, ‘비非생략 구문과 공동사 구문’, ‘공백화 구문과 ‘是’-삽입 공백화 구문‘ 간의 관계를 고찰한다. 본고는 이들 구문이 동일한 개념 프레임을 공유함으로써, 의미 기반의 상속 관계가 형성됨을 밝히고자 한다. 다시 말해, 각각의 구문은 고립적으로 존재하는 것이 아니라, 상호 유기적인 관계 속에서 구문 상속 연결을 통해 체계적으로 구성된다는 점에 주목한다.
Abstract
This study aims to reexamine gapping constructions, which have traditionally been discussed from a generative grammar perspective, through the lens of construction grammar. By doing so, it seeks to expand the theoretical understanding of gapping constructions and related constructions. Specifically, this study investigates the relationships among non-ellipsis constructions and gapping constructions, non-ellipsis constructions and empty verb construction constructions, and gapping constructions and "shi"-insertion gapping constructions, from the perspective of inheritance theory. The study demonstrates that these constructions form meaning-based inheritance relationships by sharing a common conceptual frame. In other words, it highlights that each construction does not exist in isolation but is systematically organized through inheritance linkages within an organically interconnected system.
