2011 개정 ‘화법과 작문’ 교육과정에 대한 비판적 고찰* －‘설득’ 범주 교육 내용의 재구성을 통한 대안 모색－

본고의 목적은 2011 개정 ‘화법과 작문’ 교육과정의 성과와 한계에 대한 비판적 인식을 바탕으로, ‘화법과 작문’ 교육과정이 통합형 교육과정으로서 정합성과 타당성을 제고할 수 있도록 대안을 모색하는 데 있다. 특히 ‘화법과 작문’ 교육과정의 ‘설득’ 범주 교육 내용을 관통할 수 있는 핵심 원리로서 논증에 주목하여, 논증적 상호 교섭의 기제를 바탕으로 ‘설득’ 범주 교육 내용을 재구성한다. 2011 개정 ‘화법과 작문’ 교육과정은 교육 목표와 교육 내용 체계를 일원화하는 성과를 거두었지만, 세부 내용에서는 ‘화법’과 ‘작문’이 여전히 이원화된 상태이며 언어활동 목적별 고유의 소통 원리를 제시하지 못하고 있다. 이에 통합형 교육과정의 효율적인 운영을 위하여 화법 활동과 작문 활동을 관통하는 연결 고리를 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 그 일례로서 ‘설득’ 범주 교육 내용을 ‘설득의 본질’, ‘설득의 기능(설득의 내용 구성 및 표현, 설득의 맥락과 상호 교섭)’, ‘설득의 태도’라는 내용 체계 아래, 설득 장르 고유의 소통 원리를 중심으로 세부 내용을 통합하여 재구성하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to critically review the 2011’s Revised ‘Speech & Writing’ Curriculum and to reconstitute the 2011’s Revised ‘Speech & Writing’ Curriculum as integrated curriculum. Especially, limited scope of discussion of this study is ‘Persuasion’ category curriculum contents. In order to reconstitute ‘Persuasion’ category curriculum contents, this study notes argumentation. Because argumentation is a core principle that runs through persuasive expression activity. Hence ‘Persuasion’ category curriculum contents is reconstituted based on argumentative transaction mechanism. The new reconstructed ‘Persuasion’ category curriculum contents enhanced consistency and validity as integrated curriculum. It is comprised of ‘essence of persuasion’, ‘skill of persuasion(composition and expression, context and transaction)’, ‘attitude of persuasion’.
