Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between school violence victimization, self-esteem, life satisfaction, and school adaptation among multicultural early youth, and to compare school violence victimization by dividing it into temporary and persistent victimization experiences. For this purpose, data from the multicultural adolescents panel(MAPS 2) were used, and a total of 1,999 people were studied. The research results are as follows. First, the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between victimization of School Violence and school adjustment was not statistically significant. Second, the mediating effect of life satisfaction in the relationship between victimization of School Violence and school adjustment was not statistically significant. Third, the double mediating effect of self-esteem and life satisfaction in the relationship between victimization of School Violence In youth who were persistent victimization and school adaptation was statistically significant. Therefore, it was confirmed that youth who are continuously victimized have low self-esteem, and low self-esteem reduces life satisfaction and has a negative effect on school adaptation. Based on these results, we sought intervention directions for multicultural youth who continue to be victims of school violence.
