현행 한자？한문 급수제도의 문제와 개선방안

최근 한자급수를 시행하는 단체는 급격하게 늘어나 8개 단체가 된다. 여기에 급수시험을 준비하고 있는 단체를 고려하면 그 숫자는 더 늘어날 것으로 보인다. 이들 단체가 급수시험제도를 시행하면서 주장하는 목표와 내용을 보면 일부 약간의 차이는 있지만, 대개는 같은 목소리를 내고 있다. 한자위주의 테스트와 국한문 혼용 위주의 문제 출제, 그리고 상업성에 치우쳐 현행 중등학교 한문교과목을 전혀 고려하지 않는다는 것이다. 이는 한국의 언문정책에 적지 않은 역기능을 초래 할 것이기 때문에 그 대안을 마련할 필요가 있다.기존의 한자 위주의 능력 테스트를 지양하고, ‘한자한자어한문’ 단계를 설정하여 체계적으로 문제를 출제하여 그간의 문제점을 개선해야 한다. 기존의 한자능력시험처럼 한국한문 혼용을 바탕에 두고 한자어를 평가하는 것과 달리, 현행 중등학교 한문교육의 정상화에 기여하도록 한자한문 검정 시험을 만들어야 한다. 그리고 한자와 한자어를 비롯하여 한문의 능력을 보다 효율적으로 신장시키는 체계를 구축하는 문제의 유형을 만들어 한자한문 능력 시험을 개발해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Host organizations to held level test system of Chinese characters are eight, which is abruptly increased in a recent day. In considering some organizations to launch, the number of organizations will be multiplied. When inspecting its aims and contents of the level test system of organizations, in spite of some differences, there are problems in common: same kind of test focusing on Chinese characters, similar questions to combine Korean and Chinese characters, and commercialism. They never reflect the classical Chinese textbook in the school. Negative effects from the level test lead me to take preparation for alternatives.First of all, the test focusing on Chinese characters should be laid aside, and we have to make steps to go up from 'Chinese characters', 'words from classical Chinese' to 'classical Chinese'. The systematic question for the step by step test is a key to improve the problems. It would be a way far from a simple test to guess the abilities to memorize Chinese characters, and would a road to help the school education normalize the classical Chinese. It would establish a system to enhance the abilities to understand the classical Chinese, too. We have to develope a type of questions from these aspects.
