한일 사죄・응답전략에 따른 체면의 변화양상-부담의 척도를 중심으로-

본 연구에서는 한국과 일본의 부담에 따른 체면변화와 관계수복에 관한 사용양상과 드라마를 통해서 추출한 예문을 통해서 사죄화자와 사죄청자의 체면변화 및 관계수복여부까지 알아보았다. 결과적으로 부담도의 높고 낮음이 사죄화자와 사죄청자의 체면변화와 관계수복에 영향을 끼쳤다고 볼 수 있겠다. 또한 한국은 사용양상에서 체면변화와 관계수복의 비율의 차가 크지 않았지만, 일본은 비율의 차가 압도적으로 크므로 부담도에 더 영향을 받는다고 할 수 있겠다. 또한 본고에서 다른 질적 연구에서는 예문 수가 많지 않았기 때문에 추후 더 많은 예문을 통해서 분석할 필요가 있다고 생각한다. 체면(face)의 분류 및 관계수복에 있어서도 좀 더 상세히 분석할 것을 향후 과제로 삼겠다.
Abstract
This paper compares and analyzes how face-saving changes and whether a relationship is restored between apology-giver and apology-taker depending on the burden in Korea and Japan, by drawing upon usage patterns and examples extracted from TV dramas. The findings show that different levels of burden have an effect on the changes in face-saving and the restoration of relationship. The study also found that while Koreans have a small gap between the changes in face-saving and relationship restoration in terms of usage, Japanese have an overwhelmingly large disparity in the ratio, which suggests that they are more affected by the burden. As the size of samples used in this qualitative research is relatively small, it is necessary to conduct further research on the same subject using a larger pool of examples.
