본 연구의 목적은 개별상담을 통해 학습자의 탄뎀 학습에 대한 인식을 파악하고 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 상담의 효과를 분석하는 것이었다. 그 결과 학습자는 파트너와 친해질 수 있었던 것, 목표 언어 능력이 향상된 것, 파트너와 많이 이야기할 수 있었던 것, 언어 이외의 지식이나 정보를 얻을 수 있었던 것 등을 좋은 측면으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 잘 되지 않았던 점이나 어려웠던 점으로는 목표언어능력 부족으로 의사소통이 원활하지 못했던 점, 사용언어의 균등성이나 주제선택 등 학습방법에 관해 문제가 있었던 점, 체험학습에 관해 활동내용의 결정방식이나 지원금 사용방식에서 어려움이 있었던 점, 본인 또는 상대방의 내성적 성격으로 인해 활발한 의사소통이 이루어지지 않았던 점 등이 인식되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 상담의 효과에 대해서는 모든 학습자가 그 유용성을 인식하고 있는 한편 필요성에 대해서는 평가가 다양하였다. 그러나 앙케이트의 기술에서는 교사와 학습자 사이에 신뢰 관계가 구축되었음을 시사하는 것도 보였다. 따라서 개선의 여지는 남지만 개별 상담은 어느 정도 학습자에게 좋은 영향을 줄 수 있었다고 평가해도 좋을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore learners' perceptions of tandem language learning through individual counseling and to show the effectiveness of counseling based on the results of the survey. The results showed that the learners recognized the tandem language learning method as effective in the following ways: they were able to get along well with their partners, their target language skills improved, they were able to talk a lot with their partners, and they were able to gain knowledge and information other than the language. Inaddition, the following were mentioned as things that did not go well or were difficult: communication was not smooth due to a lack of target language proficiency; there were problems with learning methods, such as unevenness in the amount of language use and theme selection; there were difficulties with planning the experiential learning activity and how to use support funds; and active communication was not carried out due to theintroverted personalities of the participants. As for the effectiveness of counseling, all learners were aware of its usefulness, while there were various evaluations of necessity. The reasons for this were unclear, but several statements in the survey suggested that a relationship of trust between the teacher and the learner had been established. Therefore, while room for improvement is left, it can be evaluated that individual counseling sessions have had a positive impact on learners to a certain extent.
