일본어 문화교육과 SDGs와의 연계 방안 연구 - 중등 일본어 교과서를 중심으로 -

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the linkage strategies with the SDGs to foster global citizenship through understanding Japanese culture, one of the three educational goals of Japanese Language I. This research analyzed how the cultural materials and culture-related basic vocabularies of four Japanese I textbooks published in accordance with the 2015 revised curriculum are applied to foster global citizenship. As a result of the analysis, cultural material and culture-related vocabulary were conveyed relatively evenly through comparison between Korea and Japan. However, all four textbooks only conveyed facts, and there were no suggestions regarding specific teaching and learning methods for fostering global citizenship through cultural content and cultural understanding. Also, in a brief overview of Japan used as a cultural content analysis material and Japanese popular culture, there were no materials or vocabularies that could be searched for the linkage with SDGs. As confirmed in previous studies conducted by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation and the Ministry of Education, it was confirmed that textbooks were also structured on the premise that learners already had a global citizenship consciousness. Therefore, based on the results of the analysis, this research presented concrete examples of ways to cultivate global citizenship through understanding Japan's daily life culture, focusing on SDGs-linked cultural materials and culture-related basic vocabularies. It is expected that the strategies suggested in this study will be a practical alternative for Japanese language learners to cultivate global citizenship using SDGs.
