Abstract
This study addresses the sustainability challenges of Arabica coffee cultivation amid climate change by conducting a multidimensional analysis of the landscape and farming systems in northern Thailand, particularly in the provinces of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Mae Hong Son. It proposes an integrated approach that combines eco-friendly agroforestry practices, traditional ecological knowledge of ethnic minority communities, and coffee tourism to create synergies between regional economic development and ecosystem conservation. The findings suggest that these highland farming areas have strong potential to become key nodes in the emerging Asian sustainable coffee belt, underscoring the need for a holistic rural development strategy that integrates sustainable agriculture, environmental management, and community-based tourism.
