본 연구는 강원도 지역에서 채록된 상부소리 230곡을 이용하여 그 유형을 분류하고 강원도 지역의 상부소리 문화지 역을 분류하였다. 연구 결과, 강원도 지역은 네 개의 상부소리 문화지역으로 구분되었다. 경기 접경문화권은 철원과 화천, 춘천, 홍천, 횡성 서부지역으로 어허와 어이가리 유형이 섞여 나타나는 특징을 보이며 경기도의 영향을 받고 있는 지역이다. 영동 강 릉문화권은 강릉 이북 지역 및 홍천, 평창, 정선 동부지역을 포함하는 지역으로 어이가리가 주로 나타나며, 두 마디의 메김을 보여주는 지역이다. 이 지역들은 과거부터 강릉 지역이 생활권이었던 지역으로 강릉지역 문화가 아직까지 남아있는 지역이라 할 수 있다. 영서 북부문화권은 영서지방 중 경기 접경지역을 제외한 홍천과 춘천, 인제, 화천, 양구 등의 지역으로 어허 유형이 한 마디로 불리는 지역이다. 강원 남부문화권은 횡성과 평창, 원주, 영월, 정선, 태백, 삼척 지역으로 어허 유형이 두 마디 또는 잦은 마디로 불리는 지역이다.
Abstract
This study classified 230 funeral songs collected in Gangwon-do and divided the region into funeral song cultural regions. As a result, Gangwon-do was divided into four cultural regions based on funeral songs. The Gyeonggi Border Cultural Region includes the western parts of Cheorwon, Hwacheon, Chuncheon, Hongcheon, and Hoengseong. This region features a mix of the Eoheo and Eoigari types and is influenced by the culture of Gyeonggi-do. The Yeongdong Gangneung Cultural Region includes the area north of Gangneung and the eastern parts of Hongcheon, Pyeongchang, and Jeongseon. This region is where the Eoigari type mainly appears, and where songs typically consist of two bars. These areas have historically been part of the Gangneung region, and its cultural characteristics still remain. The Northern Yeongseo Cultural Region includes Hongcheon, Chuncheon, Inje, Hwacheon, and Yanggu, excluding the Gyeonggi Province border area in Yeongseo. This region is where the Eoheo type mainly appears, and where songs usually consist of a single bar. The Southern Gangwon Cultural Region includes Hoengseong, Pyeongchang, Wonju, Yeongwol, Jeongseon, Taebaek, and Samcheok. This region is also where the Eoheo type mainly appears, and where songs typically consist of two or more bars.
