Abstract

The study is to give help for today’s writing education, by comparing today’s writing education focusing on the writing process with Yeon Am’s writing process. First of all, it deeply concerns the nature of his writing, and then his writing process. The nature of his writing is to draw out the sounds and gestures of the nature things and to raise up to reality and society. In this terms, it summarizes his writing process systematically as follows; ‘investigating with inquiring mind’ – ‘communicating with the nature things’ – ‘doing Ch’orok (selectively choosing)’ – ‘titling’ – ‘writing collaboratively’ – ‘correcting’. As a result, firstly, Yeon Am’s writing process reveales the similar writing process model of today. His writing process is rather circuital than sequential. Investigating and communicating process happens sometimes at the same time, the writing process can be repeated and reversed. Secondly, in his writing process the collaborative writing is stressed, it means that his writing strategic has deep relationship with social cognitivism. His writing is made, not by and in his personal thinking, but by and in social networking. Thirdly, the most important point in his writing is not in the process of writing the texts, but the attitude and habit before writing the texts. The nature of Yeon Am’s writing depends on his activity before his writing, that is the aesthetic attitude to communicate with the nature and to investigate the nature deeply. In terms of his writing process, his writing strategic is closely connected with today’s writing theory of cognitivism.
