교육의 관점에서 본 박지원의 생태적 시각과 그 의미

본고는 교육의 관점에서 박지원의 생태적 시각을 조명하고 그 의미에 대해 살펴본 것이다. 삶에서 관계를 돌아보게 하는 연암의 생각을 살펴, 세 가지 방향에서 접근했다. 첫째, 연암의 ‘법고창신’을 상생의 관점에서 재조명했다. ‘법고창신’이 각각의 개별성을 존중하는 상생의 철학을 담은 발언으로 보고 기존 견해와의 차별성을 드러내기 위해 ‘지변능전(知變能典)’으로 부르자고 하였다. 그리하여 이 개념을 오늘날 인문학과 생태 교육에서 핵심 가치로 확장시켜 나갈 것을 제안하였다. 지변능전은 대립되는 논쟁이 있을 때 서로가 상생하는 공존의 논리이자 윈윈전략이다. 둘째, 연암은 글쓰기에서, 죽은 문자를 모방하지 말고 자연의 생태에서 문학의 본질을 찾자고 주장하였다. 연암의 생태적 글쓰기는 나와 타자는 깊은 관계로 맺어진 존재이며 함께 어울려 살아가야 한다고 말한다. 셋째, 연암은 고정된 법(法)을 비판하고 맥락과 상황을 긍정하였다. 이는 절대적인 관계에서 타자를 중시하는 상대적인 관계로의 전환을 의미한다. 이를 바탕으로 연암의 생태적 시각이 갖는 교육적 의미를 살펴보았다. 권(權)에 바탕을 둔 맥락과 상황성의 강조는 ‘학습자 개인의 능력’만을 우선하는 현대 교육관에 반성적 시각을 제공해준다. 상생의 미학을 내포한 지변능전의 정신은 대립과 갈등이 치열한 오늘날 교육 및 사회 환경에서 좋은 패러다임이 될 수 있다. 자연 생태에서 문학의 원리를 찾아내려 한 연암의 글쓰기 태도는 갈수록 삭막해지고 폭력적으로 되어가는 오늘날 글쓰기 현실에 직접 활용할 만한 가치가 있다고 본다.
Abstract
This study is to reveal Park, Ji-Won’s ecological point of view and its meaning from educational point of view. It has three different approaches, considering Yeon-Am’s spirit to focus on the relationship in life. Firstly, it reveals ‘Bob-Go-Ch’ang-Sin’ of Yeon-Am from the ecological point of view. ‘Bob-Go-Ch’ang-Sin’ is considered as the terms of win-win philosophy to respect the individuality, and it is called as ‘Ji-Byeon-Neung-Jeon’, a different terms from the previous ones. And then, this study claims that this terms is to be extended to the today’s humanities and the education of ecology. ‘Ji-Byeon-Neung-Jeon’ is the theory of coexistence and win-win strategy to live together in harmony in the controversy. Secondly, in Yeon-Am’s writing, it reveals that the main stress is to find the essence of literature in the ecology of the nature, not just imitating the dead letters. Yeon-Am’s ecological writing appeals that ‘I’ and ‘the others’ have the deep relationship to live together in harmony. Thirdly, Yeon-Am rejects the fixed law and affirms the contents and situation. It means the change from the absolute relationship into the relative relationship to highly regard the others. On this base, it reveals the educational meaning in Yeon-Am’s ecological point of view. The stress of contexts and situation on the basis of ‘weighing(權)’ gives the introspective view to the today’s educational view giving the priority to ‘the personal ability of leaner’. The spirit of ‘Ji-Byon-Neung-Jun’, claiming the aesthetics of coexistence, is a good paradigm in today’s education and social environment full of controversy and conflict. Yeon-Am’s attitude of writing, trying to find the essence of literature in the ecology of the nature, has very practical, useful meaning and value in today’s desolate and violent reality of writing.
