연암 박지원의 생태 글쓰기와 그 양상-생태 글쓰기에 대한 시론(試論)-

이 논문은 생태 글쓰기의 개념을 이론적으로 정립하려는 일련의 작업 속에서 이루어진 것으로, 박지원의 글에서 생태 글쓰기의 가능성과 의미를 살펴보았다. 자연 사물의 원리와 생태를 인간과 사회로 연결시키는 연암의 생태 글쓰기 양상을 네 가지로 나누었다. 첫째, 연암은 사물의 타자성과 상대성을 자각함으로써 타자에 대한 배타적 우월의식에서 벗어나 나 중심, 인간중심주의를 반성하고자 했다. 둘째로, 연암은 자연 사물의 복잡성과 다양성을 관찰하여 인간 사회의 모순과 고정관념을 비판하였다. 셋째, 연암은 사물 간의 미묘한 사이에 주목하고, 주변적인 가치를 중심으로 끌어올렸다. 중간을 강조하는 연암의 생각은 주류 이데올로기에 의해 배척받는 가치를 중심과 동등하게 놓으려는 전략이었다. 네 번째는 형식적 측면에 주목했다. 연암은 자연을 관찰하고 자연과 교감함으로써 평범한 자연 현상을 기이한 모습으로 표현했다. 또한 비유나 묘사를 활용하여 자연 사물의 이미지를 생생하게 재현, 작가의 마음을 대신하였다. 이러한 글쓰기는 상투적이지 않는 표현을 펼치게 하고, 인간의 심미의식을 고양시켜주었다. 생태 글쓰기로 살펴본 연암의 생각은 상생과 공존의 생태 미학으로 수렴할 수 있었다. 생태 글쓰기는 오늘날 작문 교육의 좋은 대안이 될 수 있으므로 더욱 관심 가질 것을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This thesis is to reveal the possibility and meaning of the ecology writing in Park, Ji-Won’s writings, in the process of establishing, theoretically, the concept of ecological writing. The aspects of Yeon-Am’s ecology writing, which makes the principle and ecology of nature things connect to human and society, are divided into four points. Firstly, Yeon-Am reflected the self-centre and human-centre to avoid the exclusive chauvinism to the others, by recognizing the otherness and relativism of nature things. Secondly, he criticized the inconsistency and stereotype of human society in and by looking into the variety and complexity of nature things. Thirdly, he focused on the delicate gaps among nature things, raised the peripheral value up to the center. He had the strategic to equalize the marginal value excluded by the main ideology to the center, stressing the middle. Fourthly, it stresses the formal aspect. Yeon-Am expressed the mysterious aspects of typical nature phenomenon, by looking into the nature and communicating with it. He revealed his mind, revealing vividly the images of nature things by using the metaphor and description. This writing led the untypical expression and boosted human consciousness of aesthetics. Yeon-Am’s philosophy, in terms of his ecology writing, can be summarized as ecology aesthetics of win-win and coexistence. The ecological writing can be a good alternative for today’s writing education, so it would be good to be more deeply concerned and studied.
