Abstract

In judoists’competitions, work capacity has the tendency of 30 seconds’ activity and 10 seconds’ interval, and therefore, previous researches maintained the necessity of high anaerobic capacity for enhancing judoists’ performance. The purpose of this study was to investigate a demand volume of bodycomposition and anaerobic capacity in high school judoists differ from comparing with university judoists. The participants of this study were, 26 university judoists (UJ) athletes, and 28 high school judoists (HSJ) athletes in South Korea. As to difference in body compositions between two groups, UJ were significantly higher than high school judoists in FFM, MM and TBW (p<.05). As to differencein anaerobic capacity between two groups, UJ were significantly higher than HSJ (p<.05). As to the correlations of PP with FFM, MM ,TBW and FM, HSJ (intra"]class correlation ranged between r=0.14"]0.173) showed small correlations. However, UJ showed high correlations. As to the correlations of MP with FFM, MM and TBW, HSJ (intra"]class correlation ranged between r=0.233-0.236) showed small correlations. However, UJ showed significantly correlations. But, FM was not significantly correlations either. As to conditions HSJ to grow into a UJ, HSJ need to maintain FM increase FFM, MM and BTW. Thus, their training methods and alimentological efforts need to consider these conditions.
