Abstract

heart rate, and physical fitness factors in high school elite Taekwondo athletes’ competitive situations, and use them as basic data for evaluating athletes’ training program composition and training. After evaluating the pyhsical fitness factors(muscle function, anaerobic power) for 30 athletes (18 males and 12 females) from High School, the changes in blood lactate and heart rate levels were compared and analyzed for each round of competition. The statistical significance level used was p<.05. As a result of the study, there were no differences between the comparison groups in terms of win/loss, muscle function level, and anaerobic power level in the competition. However, there was a significant difference in blood lactate according to the high and low body fat percentage in male athletes (p<.01). Body fat percentage affects changes in blood lactate in Taekwondo athletes, and muscle function and anaerobic power tend to have a positive effect on blood lactate in competition. results of this study, body fat management and improvement of muscular strength and anaerobic power of athletes is required.
