프로젝트 학습을 적용한 음악 창작 활동이 초등학교 4학년 학생들의 음악적 창의성에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to recognize the influences and effects of musical creating activities with project learning and applying to fourth grade classes. For this study, the music creating activities were developed and designed for the music creating class for a 4th grade classes in H elementary school. Based on this, a lesson plan with project learning is developed and two music-creating projects is carried out over 13 times. After that time, a post-test was carried out and in order to verify the effect of the program, the change in creativity was measured using a quantitative analysis, the T-test. To complement the quantitative analysis, students’ journal,self-evaluation sheets, peer evaluation sheets and teacher's observation were examined for qualitative analysis,and the results are as below. First, the statistical analysis of musical creativity shows that music creating activities using project learning have meaningful effects on flexibility, creativity and sophistication . which are sub classifications of creativity. Second, after analyzing the general enhancement of musical creativity with gender, meaningful results are found in both female students and male students. Third, the enhancement of musical creativity is analyzed based on the high and low scores from the preliminary inspection. Results showed the program was effective for both the group with high scores and the group with low scores. Fourth,music creating activities using project learning enhanced flexibility towards changes in musical elements and capability of making music picture score. Fifth, music creating activities using project learning enhanced the students’ works which enabled them to create more sophisticated music. Sixth, music creating activities using project learning also help enhance the students’ communication abilities and their degree of concentration in music creation. Music creating activities using project learning accelerated the students’ musical critical thinking capabilities and had an influence on the growth of their musical creativity. In addition, positive effects could be seen on the students’ communication and concentration processes. Therefore music creation activities using project learning can be effective in increasing the musical creativity of 4th grade students.
