본 논문은 통합적 음악활동을 통한 아동 창의성 신장에 관한 실행연구 논문이다. 아동의 창의성 신장을 위한 방법으로 현행 교육과정을 토대로 한 음악활동 프로그램을 구안하여 연구자 학급의 음악 수업에 이를 적용하였다. 프로그램의 적용 과정을 통해 아동의 창의성 요소 면에서의 변화를 질적 분석하고 창의성 신장의 긍정적인 변화를 이끌어 내고자 하였다. 또한 교사 연구자의 반성과 수정의 반복을 통해 연구자의 수업을 개선하고자 하였다. 연구자 학급의 초등학교 6학년 학생을 대상으로 2차에 걸쳐 진행된 통합적 음악활동 프로그램의 적용 과정에서 아동의 민감성, 독창성, 유창성, 융통성 및 정교성 면의 긍정적인 변화를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 아동은 주변의 소리환경에 민감하게 반응하게 되었고, 음악 수업에서 새롭게 무언가를 만들어 내고 변화를 주는 것에 자신감을 갖고 도전하게 되었다. 또한 음악에 대해 갖고 있던 태도가 실행 연구 전에 비해 긍정적으로 변화하였음을 알 수 있었다. 음악교과는 아동의 문제해결 과정에 필요한 창의성을 함양할 수 있는 교과이다. 이를 위해 현장의 교사들이 그 중요성을 인식하고 끊임없는 연구와 현장에서의 실천이 활발히 이루어진다면 음악 교과가 현대 사회가 요구하는 인재를 육성하는 데 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Current education is focused on fostering outstanding individuals with creative problem solving skills, and the significance of art that is closely related to creativity is being emphasized. Even in musical education, various educational programs and class models are developed in consideration of enhancing creativity of elementary school students. However, such programs are not properly implemented in schools more often than not, and consequent changes in creativity have been observed in few cases. Accordingly, this action research developed interactive music activity program as a method to increase creativity among elementary school students. This program was implemented in musical education of the subjects to conduct qualitative analysis on changes in creativity and induce positive changes in creativity. Moreover, this research aims to improve and reflect on class of researcher through repetition of review and modification of teacher. In the process of implementing interactive music activity program in two stages, positive changes were observed in student`s sensitivity, originality, fluency, flexibility, and sophistication regarding music activities. Students responded sensitively to surrounding sound environment, and grew confidence in creating something new and making changes during music class. In addition, their ability to express new rhythm and melody they created through musical score was enhanced, and their perception of music as boring and simplistic activity changed positively after the research. Music curriculum is able to facilitate in improving creativity of elementary school students to solve problems. However, such notion is not properly understood in schools, and it is difficult for significant music activities to take place in a class setting. If teachers continue to recognize the importance of music activities and continuous efforts are made in research and practice, music curriculum could make a notable contribution in developing individuals that modern society needs.
