프로젝트 기반 음악교육 연구 동향 분석

초록

본 연구는 프로젝트 기반 학습(project-based learning) 관련 음악교육의 국내외 연구 동향을 고찰하는 데목적이 있다. 이를 위해 1990년부터 2023년까지 발표된 문헌을 수집하였으며, 본 연구의 연구 문제와 적합성등을 고려하여 프로젝트 기반 음악교육 관련 국내외 학술지 31편을 연구 시기별 및 국가별, 연구 유형, 연구내용으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 연구 시기별 동향은 2015년에 급격히 관련 연구가 증가하였고, 국가별 동향은 미국이 가장 높았으며, 다음 한국과 스페인이 같은 빈도로 높게 나타났다. 연구 유형 동향을 살펴보면연구 목적별로는 응용 연구가 대부분이었으며, 연구 결과별로는 평가 조사 부분에 집중되어 프로젝트 기반 음악학습 적용에 따른 효과 연구가 가장 많이 수행되었고, 연구 분석별로는 대부분 질적 연구로 이루어졌다. 연구내용의 동향을 살펴보면 연구 대상은 반수 이상 예비교사에 초점이 맞추어져 있었으며, 실행 프로젝트별 분류는기술 활용 촉진 창작 프로젝트(비디오, 오디오 창작, 애니메이션 창작, 편곡, 작곡 후 연주 또는 비디오 창작)가가장 많이 제시되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 향후 프로젝트 기반 음악교육의 연구 방향을 설정하는 데 필요한기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine domestic and international research trends in music edu- cation related to project-based learning. For this purpose, publications from 1990 to 2023 were col- lected, and based on their relevance and suitability to the research questions of this study, 31 domes- tic and foreign academic journals were selected and sorted by categories of publication dates, coun- try, research type, and research content. Results of the study show a rapid increase of research pub- lications in 2015, and that by country, research was most actively conducted in the United States. Within the categorizations by research types, for types by research purpose, most of them were ap- plied research; and for types of research results, most were of the evaluation type to measure the ef- fects of applying project-based music learning; and by analysis type, most were qualitative. In catego- rizing by type of research content, more than half of the research subjects were focused on pre-serv- ice teachers, and in the types of projects implemented, creative projects promoting technology use (video, audio or animation creation, musical arrangement or composition tasks followed by perform- ance or video creation) were the most common types. Based on these results, this study hopes to pro- vide basic information for future research directions in project-based music education.
