구성주의 학습 환경 설계모형(CLEs)기반 인공지능(AI) 작곡 프로그램을 활용한 음악창작 수업 개발

Abstract

The rapidly evolving educational landscape of the 21st century has heightened the emphasis on cultivating future core competencies, necessitating innovative approaches in music education. The purpose of this study was develop an elementary school music composition instructional program uti lizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) based on the Constructivist Learning Environments (CLEs) model and qualitatively examine its effectiveness in fostering future core competencies. The research was con ducted with 21 sixth-grade students from an elementary school in Seoul over 12 sessions between March and July 2024. Following the ADDIE instructional design model, a CLEs-based AI music compo sition program was designed and implemented. The AI tool AIVA, known for its user-friendly parame ter controls, was employed as the primary platform for composition activities. To assess the pro gram's effectiveness, the study utilized a modified version of the Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) Student Competency Assessment, last revised in 2020, and conducted rigorous content and construct validity reviews by experts. The findings reveal that the instructional program had a positive impact on enhancing the future core competencies emphasized in the 2022 Revised National Curriculum. These competencies include creative thinking, aesthetic sensitivity, collaborative commu nication, community engagement, self-management, and knowledge and information processing skills. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the potential of integrating CLEs and AI-based music composi tion programs to expand the scope of music education and provide effective instructional strategies for fostering future core competencies. Further research is recommended to investigate the long-term effects of such programs and explore their applicability across diverse educational contexts.
