이 연구의 목적은 AI 음악 생성기 중 가장 활발히 활용되고 있는 수노(Suno)의 교육적 가치를 확인하기위한 것이다. 연구 방법은 초등 예비교사(교육대학교 3학년생)를 대상으로 5주간 수노를 적용하는 수업을 하고, 수업 과정에서 학생들이 활동한 것, 생각한 것, 느낀 점 등을 심층면담 형식으로 수집하여 교육적 가치를확인한 것이다. 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수노는 대중음악 풍의 노래와 기악곡 모두를 창작할 수 있는 혁신적인 음악 창작 프로그램이다. 둘째, 수노는 음악적 지식이나 기능이 없는 사람도 음악 창작을 할 수있게 해 주고, 창작에 호기심과 자신감을 갖게 해 줄 수 있다. 셋째, 수노로 원하는 음악을 얻기 위해서는 풍부한 음악적 지식을 가지고 많은 시행착오를 겪으며 프로그램을 반복 사용하여 능숙하게 사용할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 넷째, 수노로 창의성을 기르는 수업을 하기 위해서는 교사가 숙고하여 과제를 만들고, 학생들의 학습과정을 면밀하게 관찰하면서 진행해야 한다. 다섯째, 수노는 사용자가 입력한 조건을 충실히 따르지 않고 사용자의 요구를 종종 무시한다는 점을 인지하고 활용해야 한다. 후속 연구는 교육적 문제를 일으킬 수 있는 AI의특성에 대한 문제 즉, 입력 조건에 따르지 않는 AI 음악 생성기에 대한 논의를 제안한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to confirm the educational value of Suno, the most actively used AI music generator. The research method is to teach pre-service elementary school teachers a class that applies Suno for 10 weeks, and collect information about students' activities, thoughts, and feelings during the class in an in-depth interview format to determine educational value. It has been confirmed. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, Suno is an innovative music creation tool that al lows us to create both popular music-style songs and instrumental pieces. Second, Suno allows peo ple without musical knowledge or skills to create music, and can build curiosity and confidence in creation. Third, in order to obtain the music you want with Suno, you must have abundant musical knowledge, go through a lot of trial and error, and use the program repeatedly to understand its characteristics. Fourth, in order to teach a class that fosters creativity through Suno, the teacher must carefully create tasks and conduct them while closely observing the students' learning process. Fifth, users must recognize and utilize the fact that Suno does not faithfully follow the conditions entered by users and often ignores user requests. Follow-up research proposes discussion of AI characteristics that may cause educational problems, such as AI music generators that do not depend on input conditions.
