초록
Damping capacity analysis (DCA) devices used for evaluating dental implant stability are limited by their applicable measurement angles. Recently developed DCA devices have been designed to function over a wide range of angles from 0° to 90°. The purpose of this study was to compare implant stability values (ISV) obtained at various measurement angles using a newly developed DCA device and to assess the reproducibility of ISV measurements at each angle. Bone blocks (8.0 × 8.0 × 30 mm) were prepared from the central third of porcine ribs, and implants (4.0 mm diameter, 10.0 mm length) were placed. Initial stability was evaluated using peak insertion torque and the implant stability quotient (ISQ) values. Using a rotatable table, ISV were measured at 0°, 45°, and 90°, with three repeated measurements at each angle to calculate the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Repeated measures analysis of variance (RMANOVA) was performed on the mean ISV values obtained at each of the three angles to determine whether any significant differences existed among the measurement angles. ICC analysis showed high reproducibility at all angles, with ICCs of 0.998 at 0°, 0.995 at 45°, and 0.987 at 90°. RMANOVA revealed a statistically significant difference in ISV values among the three angles (p<.001). The mean ISV was 72.097±3.425 at 0°, 70.965±3.702 at 45°, and 69.930±3.649 at 90°. Paired t-test with Bonferroni correction revealed significant differences between all angle pairs: between 0° and 45° (p<.001), between 45° and 90° (p<001), and between 0° and 90° (p<.001). The newly developed DCA device showed excellent reproducibility at all tested angles (0°, 45°, and 90°). The decrease in ISV with increasing measurement angles was statistically significant.
