Abstract
The purpose of this study is to propose the objectives and directions of longitudinal research targeting SW gifted individuals and derive research questions for the development of SW gifted individuals. To achieve this, the theoretical exploration of the characteristics of SW gifted education and previous longitudinal studies conducted in the field of gifted education were carried out. The research results suggest the direction of longitudinal research for the continuous development and support of SW gifted individuals. The identified objective is to 'understand the developmental characteristics of SW gifted individuals, validate the necessity of education, and verify the direction of effective educational interventions.' Furthermore, four proposed themes, serving as keywords for setting research questions in longitudinal studies, are 'Developmental characteristics of SW gifted individuals at each stage,' 'Role of SW gifted education in talent development processes,' 'Definition of successful achievement for SW gifted individuals,' and 'Implications for institutional and policy improvements.
