Abstract

This study focuses on understanding the research trends related to pastors' spouses and exploring the direction for future research. The analysis was conducted on 181 academic and thesis papers published domestically. First, research trends were categorized based on different periods. In the first period, the focus was on the role conflict of pastors' spouses in ministry, in the second period, it shifted to the stress and burnout experienced by spouses, the third period explored the mental health and recovery of pastors' spouses, and the fourth period delved into research topics related to the identity and self-realization of spouses. Second, major topics were classified using the LDA algorithm and coherence of topic modeling, resulting in four categories: "Spouses' ministry experience and spirituality," "Spouses' mental health and treatment programs," "Spouses' interpersonal relationships and healing," and "Spouses' roles and identity. Based on findings, reflections and implications from a Christian perspective are suggested.
