메타버스 활용 학습 경험이 학습자의 학습몰입, 학습만족도, 학습지속의향에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 메타버스에서의 학습 경험이 학습자들의 학습몰입, 학습만족도, 그리고 학습지속 의향에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아 보기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 K 대학교의 교육훈련프로그램 개발 교과목에서 메타버스 플랫폼인 스페이셜을 활용하였으 며, 183명의 참여자들을 대상으로 메타버스 내에서 강의식 수업과 문제기반학습을 각각 8주 동안 적용한 학습 경험을 제공하였 다. 학습몰입, 학습만족도, 학습지속의향을 측정도구로 활용하여 양적자료를 수집하고, 대응표본 T-test과 독립표본 T-test로 검 증하였다. 연구 결과 메타버스를 활용한 학습 경험이 학습자들의 전반적인 학습몰입, 학습만족도, 학습지속 의향에 긍정적인 영 향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 강의식 수업에 참여한 학습자들보다 문제기반학습에 참여한 학습자들의 경우가 학습몰입, 학 습만족도, 그리고 학습지속의향에 유의미하게 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구 결과를 기반으로 향후 후속 연구에 대한 제언이 논의되었다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of learning experience in the metaverse on learners’ learning engagement, learning satisfaction, and learning persistence. The metaverse platform, Spatial was used in the education and training program de velopment course of K University, and 183 participants were provided with a learning experience that applied lecture-style classes and problem-based learning for 8 weeks. Quantitative data were collected using learning engagement, learning satisfaction, and learning persistence as measurement tools, and verified with the corresponding sample T-test and the independent sample T-test. As a result, it was found that the learning experience using the metaverse had a positive effect on learners’ overall learning engagement, learning satisfaction, and learning persistence, and learners who participated in problem-based learning had a significant positive effect on learning engagement, learning satisfaction, and learning persistence than those who participated in lecture-style classes. Finally, suggestions for the following research were discussed.
