언어 접촉의 관점에서 본 원본 『노걸대』의 언어 양상 연구

본고에서는 언어 접촉 이론의 관점에서 원대(元代)의 중국어가 북방 한어(北方漢語) 대(對) 남방 한어(南方漢語)의 대립을 보이고 있으며, 원본(原本) 『노걸대(老乞大)』에 나타난 언어 현상을 분석한 결과 원본 『노걸대』가 북방 한어를 대표하는 문헌 자료임을 제안하였다. 원본 『노걸대』의 제(諸) 언어 현상 중, 1) 처격(處格) 조사(助詞) 생략의 빈도가 높은 것, 2) 동사(V)와 부사구(PP)의 어순(語順) 대립에서 알타이어 계 언어의 어순인 PP-V의 어순이 한어 고유의 어순인 V-PP의 출현 빈도를 앞서는 것, 3) 주제(主題) 중심 언어인 한어의 주제 구문이 알타이어 계(係) 언어의 영향에 의해 형성되었을 수 있다는 가능성이 있다는 것을 예로 이러한 언어 현상의 원인이 지리적으로 중국 북방에 위치한 알타이어 계 언어와의 접촉에 의하여 형성된 것임을 설명하였다. 또한 이를 증명하기 위해 정통 한어를 반영하고 있는 남방 한어의 문헌과 계량적으로 비교, 분석하는 방법을 채용하였다.
Abstract
This article is of the perspective that through using the Theory of Language Contact, it is evident that there was conflict between Northern and Southern Chinese used in the Yuan period. The original version of “Lao Qida(노걸대, 老乞大)” was used as a representative literature of Northern Chinese for research and this paper will further focus on Northern Chinese. The phenomenon that can be seen of the ancestral language in the original “Lao Qida” is as follows:1) The frequency of omitted locative markers is quite high. 2) There is conflict between the ancestral Altaic language and Chinese in terms of word order. The Altaic shows the structure PP-V while its counterpart shows the V-PP structure, with the latter making a more frequent appearance. 3) Examples state that the topic sentence of the prominent topic language which is Chinese could very much be influenced by an ancestral Altaic language, and that it would most likely be due to contact of the Altaic ancestral language in Northern China. In order to better support the thesis, excerpts from literature were taken and compared using quantitative research on Southern Chinese, which reflects traditional Chinese, and were also used in this paper.
