The present study aimed to develop and apply a teaching-learning process plan that involve project-based learning (imagination, creativity, and synthesis) to make-up education in specialized high schools, and analyze its effect on the improvement of creativity and problem-solving ability. The effects of project-based learning were analyzed after applying the teaching-learning process plan, developed for the NCS make-up curriculum, to 49 2nd grade students in 2 classes of a specialized high school in Gyeonggi-do for one semester. In the make-up curriculum, the teachinglearning process plan that involved project-based learning produced a positive effect on motivation for learning from the teaching method itself. In the process of presenting various ideas, planning, composing, and completing work through collaborative learning, the students improved their self-directed learning abilities and social skills and were able to improve their creativity and problem-solving abilities. The results also suggest the necessity of education that applies project-based learning in more extended areas of the beauty curriculum
