본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 학생(1-3학년)을 대상으로 읽기곤란 및 난독증 학생들을 선별하기위한 척도를 개발한 후 측정학적 적합성(신뢰도와 타당도)을 검증하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을달성하기 위해 읽기곤란 및 난독증 선별 척도는 첫째, 선행검사 및 선행문헌 고찰 및 분석, 둘째, 예비 개발을 위한 기초 작업, 셋째, 예비검사 문항 개발, 넷째, 전문가 및 초등교육 교사들로부터의 타당화 작업 및 문항 수정, 다섯째, 예비검사 및 문항 수정, 여섯째, 표준화 검사 실시 및분석, 일곱째 선별 척도 최종 문항 완성 과정을 거쳤다. 본 선별 척도는 초등학교 저학년용(1학년-3학년)으로 개발되었으며, 음운인식, 해독 및 단어재인, 읽기유창성, 읽기이해, 철자의 5개의하위 영역으로 구성되었다. 개발된 선별 척도의 타당성을 검증하기 위해, 17개 시ㆍ도교육청의초등학교 저학년(1학년-3학년) 학생 1,679명이 참여하였다. 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하고 신뢰도를 산출하였다. 연구결과, 본 선별 척도의 타당도와 신뢰도가 안정적인 것으로 확인되었다. 결과적으로 개발된 22개의 문항 중 18개의 문항을 읽기곤란 및 난독증을 선별하는데 적합한 최종문항으로 결정하였다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 논의와 후속연구들을 위한 제언들을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the technical adequacy(validity and reliability) of the reading difficulties and dyslexia screening scale, which was developed for lower graders(1st to 3rd grade) in elementary school. To achieve this purpose, we established seven steps as research design. First, we reviewed and analyzed previous scales or tests and literatures. Second, the initial work was conducted to develop the preliminary items. Third, the preliminary items for the screening scale were developed. Fourth, we modified items with feedback from experts and elementary school teachers. Fifth, we implemented a pilot study and we modified items again. Sixth, the standardization and analysis were proceeded. Seventh, final items were selected for the screening scale. The screening scale was developed for lower graders in elementary school(1st to 3rd grade) and was constructed of 5 sub-categories(i.e., phonological awareness, decoding and word recognition, oral reading fluency, reading comprehension, and spelling). Participants in this study were 1,679 students(1st to 3rd grade) sampled by random procedures through 17 metropolitan and province school districts in south Korea. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted and reliability coefficient was calculated. Results showed that the screening scale had the adequate validity and reliability. For screening students with reading difficulties and dyslexia, finally, 18 out of 22 items had technical adequacy. Based on the results, some discussions and suggestions for further research are provided.
